adventure, adventuring, adventurous

adventure: is this a verb or a noun? the dictionary has adjectives, adverbs, nouns. I like the adjective – adventurous: meaning inclined to undertake new and daring enterprises. Or the noun – meaning an unusual or exciting experience.
I propose adventuring as a verb. I shall go adventuring today – meaning I shall seek new, unusual, exciting events. A new view? A new bead? A new friend? Try it. Who says you have to go to the ends of the earth to go adventuring? There’s an adventure waiting just outside my door.

Today I am going adventuring.
