cheers!

Ahhhh, another lovely day. One of my favourite moments of any day sailing is the sundowner. Not that I’m a raving alcoholic, the sundowner is the time of day when you simply sit and watch. No phone calls, no distractions, just the sun setting.

The idea behind the sundowner is that your anchor should be set, and everything stowed away before dark. You pour yourself something and join some friends to talk about what you did that day. If you’ve perhaps snapped at someone now is the time to say, sorry, oops. If something went wrong now is the time to analyze what it was and how to fix it. It’s a time of reflection  and a time of quiet peace.
