wow. wow. wow. 
this was close to a religious experience. we spent the day wandering around staring at windows. all the shops are tiny and perfect. i mean tiny, like 50 – 300 square feet. and every one of them is beautiful. they are perfectly curated collections of their specialty. the cheese shop? OMG. you do not buy in bulk, you buy the cheeses that you will eat that day during your lunch and dinner cheese course. my goal of a new cheese every day will be very easy. today was a 30 month old comte and 2 small goat cheeses. (argh, i forgot to write down the names!!!). along with my baguette and a white bordeaux, heaven.
