ah the morning cuppa. of mud. yes right now i’m deep deep deep in bead making mode. bead making mode is so strong now i open the mud before i even plug in the kettle for my morning tea. not that i’m drinking the mud and technically it’s not even mud, it’s sludge. oh yeah, that sounds so much better, sludge.
actually it’s bead release. this is what prevents the glass from permanently adhering to the mandrels – the metal rods i build beads on. there’s all sorts of bead release available, this is my current favourite, dip-n-go sludge. it dries out very quickly so i routinely add water and shake like crazy. then simply dip and wait until it dries.
