I may have mentioned sometime that I like colour. There is no place in my world for grey and boring, life is just too short. Dutch artist duo Haas&Hahn feels the same way on an even bigger scale. They have created the Favela Painting project to use colour as a catalyst for social renewal and change.

The Favela Painting project aims to bring a splash of colour and design to a grim, unadorned urban space, the hillside slums of Rio de Janeiro. In their latest project, local residents were employed and trained through a partnership between the Favela project and a Brazilian paint company, TintasCoral.
How could this not make everyone is the neighbourhood smile? I want my neighbours to see this.
