Fifteen men on a dead man’s chest
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
Drink and the devil be done for the rest
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum

In amongst the gazillion pieces of spam in the Sailorgirl inbox, I found a most interesting little tidbit last week. A chance to play pirate and make money! And it's not a joke. This just sounds SO cool that I'm passing it along. If you happen to be hanging out in the southern Carribean this winter and are looking for something to do, here you go. So that got me thinking pirates, that and watching the movie Cutthroat Island. You'll notice a bit of a pirate theme this issue....

Some people say that watching sailboat racing is like watching paint dry. Those people need a stint on the bow of a race boat four minutes from the start. As a seriously relaxed cruiser and novice racer, I have to say that the start of a race scares the heck out of me. But I'm getting over it. Especially now that I've figured out how to decipher if we're going to get T-boned or not. You just have to learn the rules of the road, and pay attention to the pretty coloured flags on the committee boat. (That's the boat that's not moving at the start line).

New! If you'd like to be informed whenever there's a new Sailorgirl update, sign the guestbook and I'll add you to the update list. No junk mail I promise. (like I have time to send out junk mail).

Enjoy yourself. I do.
