If you want the rainbow, you’ve got to put up with the rain.
If you’re sitting in front of a screen, cruising through this site thinking to yourself, “boy, I wish I were there”, I have a question for you. Why aren’t you? You know all those cliches like, life is short, there’s no dress rehearsal in life? Well guess what, they’re true. It doesn’t take a million dollars to live well, it just takes a little motivation. (although if you’d like to send a million dollars Sailorgirl’s way, it wouldn’t be turned down!)
This site is here for people to enjoy and maybe learn a little. When we first started cruising, we were really green. Sailors are a most generous bunch of people when it comes to sharing knowledge (and cocktails!). We don’t know it all, you never really know it all. And if you think you do, then Mother Nature will smack you on the side of the head just to teach you some respect. We’d like to pass on some of this knowledge and to make you think to yourself, ‘hey, if two flakes like them can live a dream, so can I.’
Enjoy yourself, both at this site and in life.
attitude: the difference between ordeal and adventure
Patrick on Salt Shaker asks, “how do you fit in when you go back?” The answer is….
Sailorgirl Attitude: You cannot discover new oceans unless you’re willing to lose sight of the shore.
Never be afraid to try something new.
Remember, amateurs built the Ark, professionals built the Titanic.
