HOME - this month September 2002- Welcome!

Muchas gracias to everyone who signed the guestbook! Wow, there's Sailorgirl readers all over the globe. I've had replies from India, England, Australia, Bahamas and Mexico. How did we live before email?

Several people wrote in concerning the "real" story of Norman's Cay, Bahamas and the downed aircraft. I now have 5 "real" versions of how the plane landed in the water. Is the version on this site correct? Well, I wasn't there when it happened. This is the most commonly reported story so I'm sticking with it.

Coming soon, regular updates! Isn't that a cool idea? Sailorgirl, make it so. Aye aye captain.

Updates haven't been quite as regular as we'd like because Sailorgirl has been too busy racing to write much! Fear not my fellow cruisers, I have not forsaken the relaxed cruising life. In the spirit of always trying something new, a stint aboard a race boat is just the ticket for a summer on Lake Ontario. So what did I learn? Well, learn the right of way rules, you can never have enough dry socks in zip-loc baggies, and make sure you sail on a boat with a good wine cellar! In the next issue of Sailorgirl, an in-depth story about racing on Lake Ontario.

Enjoy yourself. I do.
