Websters dictionary defines adventure as:

  • to engage in daring undertakings, to take risks
  • a remarkable occurrence in one's personal history, a stirring experience often of a romantic nature

Sailorgirl further defines adventure as having a darn good time, all the time. That's the point to life isn't it? In the spirit of having fun and adventure, I've included a Day in the Life of Sailorgirl (for John on Wind Dancer in Saskatoon). Yes it sounds idyllic. What, you thought I'd tell you about a lousy day? Actually, I was going to. Next issue I'll include snippets from our log book of days that were.... challenging.

Many of you have written asking if you should sell everything and go. That's a tough decision and not one to be answered quickly. I've thought and thought and written the first in what will be a series of Rants. This is such a big question it needs a whole series. And I've stocked up on rum to help me with this. Stay tuned.

In the last issue we announced that Sailorgirl and the Pirate Guy were building a dinghy. So we are. Just not yet. Life (and engine repairs) got in the way. It will happen. That's a Sailorgirl promise and I'll keep everyone posted.

Life is short, I'm going sailing. See you on the blue waters...

ps. Due to life (and engine repairs), Sailorgirl is a bit behind on responding to email. Oops. Pour yourself a sundowner and relax. You'll get an answer one day.
