100 happy days, 81 – 84

Every day for 100 days, I take a photo of something that makes me happy.

From the top left:

81. Thinking outside the box. Why make a living working a cubicle job when you could learn to be a great classical violinist? And then think even further outside the box and play your violin while walking a tightrope. It makes me really happy that there are people who do these crazy things in life. It keeps life interesting. And it means that I don’t have to walk a tightrope.

82. One hire car being returned. Why does this make me happy? Because it is being returned without a dent or a scratch and all passengers are in one piece! A successful drive through the Scottish Highlands! Driving on the other side of the road. Negotiating tiny little roads that have barely enough room for 2 sheep to pass yet squeezing between a lorry and a stone wall. Not for the faint of heart. At the end the great glens were absolutely worth it.

83. Handmade always makes me happy. Discovering cool handmade in other places is extra happy. My only souvenir from Scotland is a ball of hand spun hand dyed wool from the very lovely Ginger Twist Studio. Next trip I must come on a Monday evening for the group knitting night.

84. Winging my way from one adventure to another makes me happy. Bye Edinburgh, bonjour Paris!
