Oh boy oh boy oh boy!

After a creative hiatus (vacation) I am ALMOST back in the studio! And my brain is SO stuffed with ideas I think my head is going to explode!

This is the fourth year I’m taking on this challenge. As someone who is deadline driven, this is one heck of a deadline. Every single day I must create one new piece of jewelry.

I have a sketchbook full of doodles and designs. Doing this challenge means that those designs have to come to life, one by one. Sometimes I can spend hours making something that in my mind is fabulous only to discover that it’s technically impossible. Or butt ugly. And sometimes something totally unexpected appears and is a winner. I find that the more I create the more the ideas flow and by the end I have more sketches than I started with.

I use this years challenge as a way to kick off my 2016 show season. The challenge will begin on May 1. Every day I’ll post a photo of what I made that day. The photos will be posted here on the blog, on my facebook page, and on Instagram (sailorgirl_cw).

Each piece will be a listed in the online store at a reduced price. Some of these designs will make it into the permanent collection. Some will not. Most will be one of a kind so when they are gone they are gone.

What I am really looking for here is feedback from you. Please comment! Tell me if you like a design, think it would be great in a different colour, all opinions welcome.
