100 happy days, 85 – 88

Every day for 100 days, I take a photo of something that makes me happy.

From the top left:

85. The sight of the cheese aisle in the supermarket in Paris made me so happy I could cry. This is just the basic cheese aisle. After this there is the cheese by the piece section and then the cheese counter. Most of the cheese are €2-3. We almost wept with joy.

86. Happy to check this off my bucket list. Today we went to Giverny, Monet’s home and gardens. Wow. Wow. Wow. Once you see the gardens you see the art in a whole new way. As a lover of flowers and colour these gardens blew me away. Environment is so important to creative output and a happy outlook. As I sip my fabulous glass of red wine there are flowers dancing before my eyes. I am one very happy, very lucky Sailorgirl.

87. Is this not the best place to end a day? Our lovely terrace amongst the rooftops. The apartment is spectacular, wooden beams, stone walls, le sigh. I must have been French in a past life. And the walk to the 4th floor? Why that is just the perfect way to walk off today’s pastries. Another gem of a find from airbnb.

88. Oh boy do I love farmers markets! In one square I found a flower market!!! So many beautiful flowers. Oh my. And in the next square an amazing farmers market. How great to see so much food made with such care and attention. Such deliciousness.
