gaia

In 2009 Guy Laliberte, the founder of Cirque du Soleil, became the 7th private citizen to become a space tourist. Isn’t that a great term, space tourist? His photos have been published as a book and are also touring to art galleries around the world. If you have a chance to see them, go! The earth looks like a giant quilt full of repeating patterns and textures. You can expect to see some Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan beads this season.

The exhibit is called “Gaia”. In Toronto you can find it at the Thomas Landry gallery in the Distillery district until Sept 2. Well worth it.
