JULY GIVEAWAY
July has to be one of the most delicious months! Hanging out at the fruit shop is such a feast for my eyes. Oh the strawberries! the raspberries! the mangoes! such amazing colours. Even better when they are turned into ice cream. mmmmm…. ice cream. I do have a weakness for ice cream and gelato. There’s the BEST gelato shop right next to the post office. My current favourites are mango and passionfruit, or peach and raspberry. SO good! Of course there’s always dark chocolate and dulce de leche. Great combination. Let’s have a sweet talk people.

When I was in Venice, there was a little gelato shop at the end of the lane. Every day we’d make a point of stopping in (sometimes twice!) and did our best to try every flavour they sold! My favourites were the mango, coconut, Amarillo, and Bocci. Yum!
My favourite ice cream is mint chocolate chip!
My favourite ice cream is peanut butter and chocolate from Baskin Robbins. It is a real luxury and I don’t have it very often, but it is absolutely my fav. I first had it on a visit to Toronto to see my aunt and uncle. It was my first trip away from home and we went to store on my first evening away. I felt so grown up! I also liked the little pink spoon they gave me with my sample… and I am still smitten!

I Love Love Love Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip ice cream. It is soooooooo good. The chocolate chips are more like chunks and delicious. You have to try it if you haven’t already.
would you believe…vanilla…yep, for real. It is the perfrect foil for handpicked wild blackberries, as well as raspberries, strawberries, and pretty much any other fruit I can think of, not to mention chocolate, Bailey’s, Grand Marnier. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Thanks, now I have a craving for ice cream, the one thing that calls my name from the fridge and cupboards if it’s in the house. Strangely enough PC vanilla chocolate fudge crackle ice cream is one of my favorites, off to the store I go now to find me some!
I love cinnamon ice cream the best I think… especially when it is paired on a double scoop with almond or honey or pear. But really… I can eat all ice cream. It is SUMMER to me!

Hi Catherine – great to see you in Goderich. Love your new pieces and excited about the whole weather series! I had home-made Ginger ice cream at a restaurant in St. Andrews NB and absolutely loved it! Cows Ice cream from PEI a close second – any of their chocolate-based flavours! When I am buying ice cream the favourites in our house are chocolate and maple walnut with the occasional splurge for Ben & Jerry’s coffee and toffee. Another lovely weekend – have a great show.
